Pattern Making

At Eulalee Leather we are open to designing new bag shapes for your specific needs.  Here I am planning for a new design my client, Boba.  She wanted a bag 6" x 4", something a bit smaller than I normally do.  She also wanted a divider in the bag and a small pocket.  

 Here the measurements are getting worked out.  Once done the pattern is cut out.

 I put the bag mock-up together with tape.

 This gives a feel of where the front flap will rest etc.  At this stage you  may have to start again if the shape doesn't work or just slight adjustments may be needed.

After the pattern gets the thumbs up it is cut out in leather.  Then it's time to wet the leather and get carving.
